I love staircases and this one caught my eye.Seaton Delaval Hall in Northumberland, UK, designed by Sir John Vanbrugh is said to be one of Britain's genuine architectural masterpieces. The Times today reported that efforts are underway to preserve the house for the public through The National Trust.
Sir John Vanbrugh(1664-1726), who was a dramatist, adventurer and society figure as well as an architect, is best known for designing Blenheim Palace - seen as the culmination of English Baroque - and Castle Howard. The full story here.
